​A FESTIVAL SHOWCASING LATIN MUSIC AND CULTURE
An exciting event that brings the Latin American culture to life in the City of Mississauga.

The 12th Annual LATIN FESTIVAL 2024 is a unique 2-day event that celebrates the culture of Latin America from Saturday September 7 to Sunday September 8, 2024, at The Maja Prentice Theatre in Mississauga.

This flavourful festival will showcase the finest Latin music in Canada. 

Attendees will enjoy live entertainment by Latin American Folk Dance Groups, Afro-Cuban band Pablo Terry and Sol de Cuba, Latin Jazz Diva Laura Fernandez and Indigenous Ecuadorian band, Rimay, one of Canada's most popular bands. There also will be Arts & Crafts and Dance workshops.

Laura Fernandez →

Laura Fernandez was born in Madrid, Spain, and spent her early childhood in Spain and Switzerland. At eight years old she moved with her family to Calgary, where she spent her young adult years. Currently based in Toronto, she is an award-winning visual artist, pianist, singer-songwriter and recording artist.

Rimay Canada is an Andean music group made up of a talented ensemble of friends and family spanning multiple generations. For over 20 years, they have been enchanting audiences with Ecuadorian folk music.
